It’s an honour for me to represent the Fellowship for British Hairdressing as your President. I’ve worked as Chancellor for four years and I absolutely love the premise of The Fellowship – an organisation run by hairdressers, for hairdressers. We’re here to support each other, learn from each other, and to nurture our young talent. I’ve been involved with The Fellowship since 2003 and it really is a community of like-minded people achieving creative excellence.
Some of my priorities for my term include building our regional events – these have been a huge success and we want to bring The Fellowship to a wider audience. We’ll continue to nurture our relationships with our brilliant members and bring you some modernised, cutting edge events to keep The Fellowship fresh and at the forefront of the industry.
One of my main missions is to promote our professionalism to the wider public. We need to get consumers to start taking our industry more seriously so we can drive younger people into the profession. Apprentice recruitment is a huge issue for hairdressing right now – I want to promote it not as a go-to job but as a phenomenal career…
I’m looking forward to building on the brilliant foundations of The Fellowship to take it into the future. Our newly elected Council are the most amazing team and I am so excited to continue my working and personal relationship with them all, along with all our Fellowship members.
