ABOUT US

What is your current role in the industry?

I started my business career working for one of the largest equipment rental companies in the world. My life involved constant travel between the UK and USA, presenting to investors in the city and heading up the Mergers and Acquisitions team, I learnt a lot of valuable life lessons and business skills during this period. In 2002 l decided to take the plunge and started working for myself creating hosted telecoms solutions for the retail sector and through a friend who owned a salon I became involved in the hairdressing industry completely by accident. In 2006 Mutu opened for business and the ‘Salon Call Manager’ solution was launched. Today (Mutu) provide a full technology and software solutions service dedicated only for salons. I am very lucky to say that as a result of creating these solutions I have met and continue to work with some of the most prestigious names in Hairdressing in the UK.

What does being part of The Fellowship mean to you?

I have championed the Fellowship ever since I attended my first event back in 2008. I then became a member and earlier this year my company Mutu became a commercial sponsor. I couldn’t be prouder than when I was voted onto the Council in April this year and I am now in a position alongside the other Council Members to be able to support other business owners with building successful, professional and profitable businesses. It’s such an exciting time to be part of the Fellowship especially as we start to build our digital presence on all platforms, so I can’t wait to see what the future has in store.
