‘Investing in your team and individuals is the key to success and The Fellowship allows you to do that perfectly’, explains Fellowship member Sarah, owner of Sarai Hair and Beauty.
What opportunities have you benefited from since joining?
We developed a salon artistic team who presented at a Members’ Night. This led to being on stage at Salon International and HJ Live.
Membership also opened doors to work at Fashion Week with amazing hairdressers, like Karine Jackson.
Being involved in The Fellowship has also given the team the confidence to produce their own collections and photoshoots.
How do you keep the team engaged in The Fellowship?
We attend as many events as possible. From creative ones like Hair and Vision to networking opportunities such as President’s Night and the Fellowship Awards and Luncheon.
We have also taken advantage of the Presentation Skills course. Natalie joined PROJECT: Colour and won Achiever of the Year. Kelsey was part of PROJECT: X, short listed for Achiever of the Year and went on to join the PROJECT: Colour team.
‘All of these projects have given them incredible confidence, exposure and skills to bring back to the salon and share with the entire team.’
How does membership help you as a business?
We’ve significantly upskilled. It’s been great for team building and helped with confidence and focus.
We’re also more inspired having got up close and personal with industry icons, learning from both amazing presentations and opportunities to ask questions.
We now have an artistic team who are confident teaching, working on stage and producing amazing photoshoots and collections.
We’ve also had so much exposure that we’ve really built our company profile.
What would you say to others about maximising their membership?
If you want to grow your team’s confidence and skills start attending events and getting involved right from the start.
You’ll meet some amazing people in the industry and learn from some of the best in the country.
