Akin Konizi

As the artistic force behind HOB Salons & Academy, Akin Konizi is responsible for leading the creative direction of the HOB brand. During his prolific career, he has amassed numerous awards including the acclaimed British Hairdresser of the Year award a record-equalling four times. Based at the renowned HOB Academy, which he opened in 2007, Akin leads the HOB Creative & Education Teams in delivering first-class education to established hairdressers from around the world.

Recent international assignments have seen Akin on stage in nearly every continent, demonstrating, presenting or producing hair shows in Barcelona, Los Angeles, Poland, South Africa, and Monaco on behalf of product powerhouse Wella. Closer to home, recent engagements have included the Alternative Hair Show, Pro Hair Live and Salon International, as well as showing at the Wella Global Trend Vision Finals, judging the Australian Hair Fashion Awards and being an official Mentor for the UK Wella Trend Vision Awards.
