F.A.M.E. TEAM SPEND THE DAY WITH FORMER F.A.M.E. TEAM MEMBER ALASTAIR JUBSS
The team spent the day with Alastair Jubbs, former F.A.M.E. Team member & Founder / Director of Curated Hair at the home of Mash Creative Studio.
Alastair's session work has seen him travel internationally and work with brands such as Burberry. His work can be seen in the likes of Vogue, Hunger, Numero and Dazed and Confused. Alastair has become known for his wig work and was described by 10 Magazine as one "of the hottest wig makers in the business". You may recognise Alastair's work by his recent safety pin wig for Bimini Bon Boulash.
Alastair’s plans for the day was a fashion project, to give the team real in-depth look at the fashion industry. “The project and how we communicate will be the same as any other shoot brief I would receive.”
Harry Andreou comments: “The day with Alastair walked us through the process of conceptualising a photoshoot and shared his session styling techniques. With 6 models, multiple locations, and styling, it was a challenging yet incredibly rewarding day. As also a huge thank you to Sally for organising these great mentors for us.”
Ilaria Bellemo comments: “Spending a day doing a street photo shoot with the incredible hairdresser Alastair Jubbs was an unforgettable experience.Throughout the day, we saw firsthand how Alastair effortlessly adapted his techniques to suit the dynamic and unpredictable nature of a street setting. Each look he crafted was unique and perfectly suited to the vibe of the location. The energy and spontaneity of the day were incredible. Working outdoors presented its own set of challenges but Alastair's professionalism and adaptability turned these into opportunities for creativity. He demonstrated how to make the most of every situation.
Additionally, Alastair's warm and engaging personality made the entire process enjoyable. He was not only a master of his craft but also an excellent mentor.
In summary, we walked away with a deeper understanding of how to merge hairstyling with street photography.”
