ClubStar Art Team Enjoy Last Session of 2018

he team is comprised of Fellowship members aged between 16-25, who having secured a place on the team go on to enjoy mentoring sessions from industry experts and exciting opportunities for exposure.

For the final session of 2018, the team headed to Edinburgh, where they enjoyed a mentoring session with Colin McAndrew from Medusa Hairdressing. Colin is CEO of the five-salon group, and a keen educator for both Medusa and others in the hairdressing industry.

In his session with the ClubStar team, Colin presented two models, showcasing alternative cutting techniques to achieve finished looks. He also provided the team with insight into his own career – from the early days of his career to how he has developed Medusa salons. He also shared his passion for education, explaining how he built his relationship with Wella to educate for them, and how he works with their Unicef program to provide hairdressing education to vulnerable adults in developing countries.

“We had a brilliant last day with Colin,” says team member Brooke Evans. “I loved the look-and-learn session, where he showcased new techniques for creating both new and traditional finishes. He also told us her career story, which was extremely inspiring.  We are so lucky to have had a day with him, and so thankful for the great year we’ve had.”
