CLUBSTAR ART TEAM SPEND THE DAY LEARNING ALL ABOUT ‘CURLS & COILS’

The team spent the day at Steven Carey’s in Mayfair, London with Hannah Larden Marcia, a previous Project Afro member & currently on Project X & Olivia Brady, Creative Director at The Honeycomb and previous ClubStar Art Team member, also currently on Project X.

The day was all about textured hair, techniques & cutting Afro Caribbean Curly Hair.

Ashleigh Thompson comments: “Had such a fun day learning all things curls and coils with the incredible Hannah Marcia in London. She went in depth about the history of curls and how to care for them using the right products and styling techniques as well as the science behind them. Step by step she taught us the best way to cut Afro Caribbean/ curly hair starting with an in-depth consultation and the best way to cut it dry. In the afternoon she got us involved with different braiding techniques on texture hair which was so fun to learn. I found it so interesting learning how to deal with all types of hair and would definitely love to learn more from Hannah!”
