PROJECT MEN & MEDIA SPEND THE DAY WITH PROJECT LEADER DEAN GLEESON

The team travelled to the Fellowship’s Centre of Excellence, Hairven Academy, Nottingham to spend their penultimate day with Project Leader, Dean Gleeson.  This was a day all about precision cutting.

Darcey Clarke comments: “Our cutting education day with Dean was absolutely fantastic! ✂️No matter how long you’ve been in the industry or how far into your career you are, I’ve always believed that learning never stops. There’s always something new to take away, whether it’s a fresh technique, a different perspective, or simply refining the way you already work. The day was packed full of inspiration and practical knowledge. Dean shared so many valuable insights, from learning how to keep your haircut consistent and on track from start to finish, to clever product hacks that elevate your styling results, and even tips on refining clipper work for cleaner, more precise finishes. It was such a great reminder that the smallest tweaks can make the biggest difference. Watching someone else’s approach and understanding why they do certain things reignites that creative spark and pushes you to look at your own work with fresh eyes. Education days like this are so important, not just for improving skills but for reigniting passion and confidence behind the chair. I left feeling motivated, inspired, and excited to apply everything I’ve learned to future clients. Continuous growth is what keeps this industry so exciting, and I’m so grateful to have the opportunity to keep learning alongside such talented people.”

Billy Ryan comments: “Had a great day in Nottingham at Hairven Salon with the Project Men & Media team, learning from Dean Gleeson. We focused on creative cutting and exploring longer hair shapes. Dean shared loads of practical tips that really made you think differently about suitability. Left feeling inspired and full of new ideas to bring back to the salon.”
