THE FELLOWSHIP FOR BRITISH HAIRDRESSING PROJECT TEAMS OPEN FOR 2027

The Fellowship for British Hairdressing is the UK’s leading professional platform for creative excellence, education, and industry progression. For over 80 years, the Fellowship has connected the most influential voices in hairdressing. From salons, barbers and stylists to educators, academies and global brands, the Fellowship has established a powerful network that drives innovation, creativity, and industry standards. 

The heart of The Fellowship is the organisation’s ten Project Teams. The Projects are designed to nurture up-and-coming talent, offering stylists hands-on workshops, seminars, and professional photoshoots to elevate their industry skills and give them hands-on experience. Throughout the year, each Project takes part in education days hosted by many of the biggest names in the industry, giving mentees the opportunity to gain invaluable insight into the creative process of guest mentor. Other highlights on the Projects’ calendar includes stage time, alongside the opportunity to curate a photoshoot with their Project Leader and other mentees. Over the course of the year, the Project Leaders dedicate their time to the mentees, planning a year that is fun, educational and transformative.

Project X - 

Led by Global Artistic Director of Keune Haircosmetics and award-winning hairdresser, Luke Benson, PROJECT X has been described as the “ultimate hairdressing finishing school”.  It offers a mentoring programme, allowing you to explore your creativity, expand your skills, awareness and develop your individuality and unique capabilities.

Project Scotland – 

Project Scotland is a unique programme designed to showcase and develop Scotland’s top hairdressing talent across all areas of creativity. For 2027/2028, Project Scotland is being led by Jason Hall, renowned session stylist. 

Project Men & Media – 

The ultimate education aimed at hairdressers and barbers looking to develop their skills in the ever-growing men’s grooming market, led by Josh Lamonaca, the creative and educational mastermind at MENSPIRE and the Fellowship Head of Education. 

Project Colour - 

Led by award-winning colourist, three-time Colour Expert and Most Wanted Legend winner, Grace Dalglesih is a renowned Global Educator and Creative Director, Project Colour  provides access to some of the finest colourists in our industry. This course shares insight into their unique colour application techniques, creativity, art direction and vision. 

Project Sassoon – 

Project Sassoon provides the setting for the highest standards in technical excellence, precision cutting and perfect colour placement. For 2027/2028, Project Sasson will be guided by Daniel McCourt, Senior Creative Director at Sassoon and Mia Leete, Colour Director at the House of Sassoon. 

Project Afro – 

Project Afro the ultimate in Afro & textured hairdressing covering every facet in this category. Project Afro are led by Patricia Davis is International Lead Educator for McBride Research Laboratories, Inc., makers of Design Essentials. 

Project Extend – 

Project Extend, the ultimate finishing school for hair extensionists who are looking to develop their skills in several attachment methods and to expand their creativity on stage and in print. Award-winning hairdresser and Project Extend Alumni, Marlene Lamont, returns for her second year of Project Extend leader.

Project Wales – 

Project Wales is a platform for hair professionals to come together, learn from each other, and explore new creative approaches, all while staying true to the distinctive style and innovation that 'Welsh Hair Creativity' is known for.
