HAIR & VISION INSPIRED IN BRIGHTON

The Fellowship for British Hairdressing’s Hair & Vision event headed to Brighton for an evening of inspiration, education and networking.

Held at the Patterns Nightclub overlooking Brighton Pier, the evening was hosted by former British Hairdresser of the Year Andrew Barton and took on the theme Luminous – beautiful hair that shines a light on British hairdressing.

Special guests for the evening were the 2022 F.A.M.E. Team who talked about the incredible journey they have been on throughout the past 12 months and the people they have worked with. Darrel Starkey, Alex Cook, Jessica Hau and Lydia Wolfe reflected on how far they have grown as hairdressers, with big thanks to their team leaders Gary Hooker and Michael Young.

The evening saw each artist hairdressers talk through their inspiration while working live on their hair. They were session stylist Davie Rae, Trevor Sorbie Creative Director Giuseppe Stelitano, Lora Griffin and Dan Stanley from Peg Salon, Gemma Dobby from Headmasters and Lathanial Chambers for Avlon Uberliss. Hair ranged from conceptual and creative, to everyday wearable textures.

Hair & Vision Brighton is the third Hair & Vision event in 2022, having formerly visited Edinburgh and London. The event brings together hairdressers looking to be inspired in their creativity, while taking ideas back to the salon to translate for their clients.
