THE FELLOWSHIP PRESENTS HAIR & VISION, THE BUSINESS OF COLOUR, SPONSORED BY KEUNE UK

The Fellowship presents Hair & Vision returned to London for another fantastic event, The Business of Colour, sponsored by Keune UK.

Held at the newly launched The House of Keune by Bloom, the event brought together stylists and colourists alike, to discuss the importance of colour in the salon today, highlighting techniques and trends that business savvy salon owners can use to make sure their salon retains colour and brings new clients through their doors.

To begin the evening, Keune UK General Manager Darren Potter welcomed guests to the brands fabulous flagship salon and shared the history and journey behind Keune. He then welcomed to the stage Education Manager Sophie Benson, who shared an insight into the education strategy and explained how Keune approach and deliver colour education. Sophie then introduced Fellowship Chancellor Karoliina Saunders and host for the evening Andrew Barton, who took the audience through the evenings format and brought the team to the floor for the creative session.

Beginning the evening was Keune Style Ambassador Jamie Stevens, who created a beautiful long hair look featuring vivid shades throughout the side sections and fringe. Jamie talked the audience through the process of the cut, and how to style and showcase the colour based on the placement technique. Working alongside Jamie was Master Colour Ambassador Jo McKay who showcased colour placement techniques using different tools including sponges, unveiling beautiful pastel inspired looks and patterned styles. Jo also showcased her pre-prepared doll heads, presenting the diverse range of Keune colours available and explained how these can be transitioned into salon trends. Following this first demonstration, Karoliina and Andrew took part in a short Q&A session before welcoming on stage the second models alongside Creative Colour Director & National Educator Aline Knee who shared her love of vivid tones and shared her exceptionally creative looks and explained why vivids are always of importance in salons. The team also shared their love of using hair wefts and their own colour techniques while answering questions from the intrigued audience.

Hosts Andrew Barton and Karoliina Saunders brought the evening to a close with Andrew thanking all for their support, “I’d like to take this opportunity to thank you all for coming along this evening and being part of an event which discusses a topic which is so important to each one of us as hairdressers. Colour plays a huge part in our day-to-day life and by showcasing and discussing the important aspects of this will allow our industry to continue to progress and allow us as individuals to grow and provide our clients and team with the skills to evolve. It’s been a great evening and our extended thanks to both Keune UK and the Fellowship for British Hairdressing for their support.

The next Fellowship Hair & Vision event will take place on Monday 12th of June in London sponsored by L’Oreal Professional. Tickets available from www.fellowshiphair.com
