International Precision Cutting Championship (IPCC) opens on 24 May!

The Fellowship for British Hairdressing is partnering the International Precision Cutting Championship (IPCC) which launches on Monday 24 May.

The IPCC is a FREE competition which is streamed on Instagram and open to everyone, giving hairdressers the chance to be involved in an international event in their country, without leaving the comfort of their own home!

The competition is a 3 stage event spanning over 10 weeks, each of the stages the entrants will be given 1 of the 9 foundation techniques of precision cutting to create, with new techniques added at each stage.

Each round, entrants must cut a set technique on a doll head and post their look on Instagram, #ipcchampionshipuk, followed by the name and the country they are participating from.

The tagged images will be judged by an international jury invited by the IPCC and finalists chosen will go forward to the grand finale in September 2021.

Entrants are guided throughout with quotes, tips, lives on techniques, and advice on products to use.  The prize includes a trophy, education courses, tools & scissors.

Dove Palmer, from Palmer & Co, UK's Education promoter for IPCC, comments: “The International Precision Cutting Championship is a community and hub for everyone to Learn, Grow and Share their journey. The world of Hairdressing has come together to bring the competitors or students, the opportunity to learn from the best in Technique, Equipment and Salon Products, finishing their journey with the competition to show their development.  Everyone can take part from any place in the UK. It’s up to you how far you go. Join us.”
