Make the cut

Hairdressers from across the UK descended on the Alan d Academy in central London for the most recent Fellowship workshop, which saw some of the masters of cutting share their techniques.

The evening, which was hosted by Alan d’s Director of Education Edward Hemmings, was dedicated to cutting, with a focus on new methods, trends and advice for optimum results in the salon.

Mentors on the night were Jake Unger from HOB Salons, Paul Jamieson from Mahogany Hairdressing and Karoliina Saunders – who was sharing her skills for the first time, and was a huge hit with the audience.

The hands-on workshop saw guests bring their own models so that they could put into practice their learnings. Those who really wanted to work a technique without compromise opted for block-heads, allowing for total creativity to take charge!

Edward says: “It was a brilliant evening, and we were delighted to attract guests from across the country for the event. Special credit to Karoliina for her first workshop; she was great!”
