PROJECT AFRO START THEIR FIRST TEAM JOURNEY WITH PROJECT LEADER JACQUI MCINTOSH

The team travelled all over to spend their first team hosted at Griffins Salon in Barnt Green, Birmingham.  They day started off by Jacqui, Project Afro project leader and, who is also Director of Education at Avlon UK, sharing her wealth of experience around textured hair and the science around hair products.  Followed by a demo on a live model showcasing the different products and how they work.

Chris Grimley comments: “Absolutely fantastic first day with our mentor Jacqui! Wow what a font of knowledge and information on both hair and business some fab ideas, tips and info to take away and implement in my own salon! Was great to meet such a lovely bunch of people too, and an amazing goody bag was a fantastic, unexpected bonus. Loved it can’t wait for the next one”.

Kyrsia West comments: “Our first team day we spent with Jacqui and what a day it was. It was so much more than expected. I'm a hairdresser that needs to understand the why and how. Jacqui was Incredible with her history and knowledge on textured/afro hair. I thought I knew alot myself with studying trichology but Jacqui blew my mind further. Understanding the science of hair products and hair really helps you understand the different types of texture of hair and how these products and services work. Was a very eye opening day. LOVED it...”

Sarah Dawes added: “What a fabulous day, our team leader Jacqui has sooooooooo much knowledge to share, she was amazing. We all asked questions throughout the day and she answered then all in a way that made total sense.It was great to see the difference that Thermal Wonder made to the hair on the live model, can’t wait to use all the amazing Avlon products asap! It was really great to meet new likeminded people who are all passionate about their craft and come from all over! So looking forward to next session and I am going to full fill my goals on my personal statement - we wrote them down and gave them to Jaqui! Thanks Fellowship, very impressed x”.
