PROJECT SCOTLAND TEAM DAY WITH KAREN MCDOUGALL RENOWNED SESSION STYLIST

The team spent the day at Medusa in Edinburgh with Karen McDougall renowned session stylist. Karen is also known for her editorial work and brings a blend of technical skill and creative direction.

Sharing an insight into her career, creating hair for photography, advertising, editorials, from catwalk to fashion magazines and brand collections.

Karen started the day off with a demo to help “unleash their creativity”.  Hair that is quickly adaptable to the environment in a very short time, working under pressure, adapting and manipulating all textures of hair.  The team then were hands.

Natalie Stephen comments: “Today with Karen was nothing short of exceptional. I still can’t believe how effortlessly her hands move—it’s like watching art in motion. She pushed me beyond my comfort zone and expanded both my knowledge and perspective on session and editorial work. Karen’s energy was electric—she had the entire team inspired and motivated from start to finish. This has truly been a phenomenal day, one that will stay with me for a long time.”
