PROJECT: X PHOTOSHOOT Sponsored by Kao Salon Division

PROJECT: X's Photoshoot was directed by Project Leader, Sam Burnett.  The shoot took place at Electric Studios in London. Sam was joined by his Hare & Bone team, Jamie Benny & JoseDomene.

Arif Arikan comments: “I loved the photo shoot, it was a really good experience and I loved the outcome. It definitely has given me more confidence with photo shoots, I learnt so much!”

Cc McNamee added: “The photo shoot was such an amazing experience, to see how other stylists work behind the scenes and for us all to come together collectively and produce something incredible is such a buzz. I have done quite a few shoots before but working alongside Sam and his team was a great way of learning how others work and picking up some amazing tips and tricks! I'm so excited to see the results and share with everyone what we created.”

April Mash added: “Our first PROJECT: X photo shoot was such an amazing experience, with it being our second day meeting face to face as a team, I feel this was the perfect opportunity for us to bond and work hard to show off our strengths as a group! Working alongside Sam, Jamie & Jose really opened my mind to new ideas, and I was introduced to lots of new helpful techniques which I can now use in the future.  Being a part of the team in a photo shoot environment gives me a huge buzz for photo shoots and hair events in the industry!”

Lea Show: “The photo shoot was such an amazing experience! Every single person pulled together and smashed their looks. Sam was great directing everyone and helping where needed, I think every one of us came away with a new skill and a new take on what works on camera. For myself, learning how to set Afro hair into shape was a great new trick in my bag. I loved the concept and can’t wait to see the final images!”

Rosin Murphy: “The concept of the photoshoot ‘LOVER THEY’,  was an incredible day. I learnt so much from all aspects of the shoot and really feel it’s given me a better understanding of how this side of the industry works.  It was lovely to all come together as a team and create some amazing work.” 

Emma Simmons: “It was a fantastic day, amazing to see how all our ideas and skills pulled together to create one concept for the collection. The whole team really worked well together, from the photographer to the stylist and makeup artist, Sam gave us a great day in a fantastic venue, and I can’t wait to see what we created.”

Reina Boddy sums up the day: “I had an amazing day shooting with the PROJECT: X team. Huge thanks to team leader Sam & Jamie & Jose for assisting us all. The talent in the team is unbelievable & I feel so privileged to be constantly learning from everyone’s amazing ideas!”
