PROJECT X SPEND A DAY ON CREATIVE CUTTING TECHNIQUES AND THE ART OF PRESENTATION

The team spent the morning with the Jamie Benny the Artistic Director from Hare & Bone going through creative cutting and styling.  Looking at making creative cutting versatile, commercial and wearable for the Client.

Jamie Bennie comments: “I loved working with the team to help inspire them with a combination of salon friendly and creative cutting techniques. They are a really open and passionate team. It is an honour to share my work with them.”

The afternoon was spent with Debbie Gee, Hair Educator,  fine tuning their presentation skills for on stage work, with a focus of when the team are on the Fellowship stage at Salon International in October.

Kay Binnersley comments: “We were treated to some great cutting and styling tips from Jamie, and I had a few light bulb moments.  The afternoon with Debbie was amazing.  We did some great work, with Debbie & Jamie getting us to really think how you have to interact on a stage as a team, so it flows and not being so robotic.  We were treated to a fabulous bespoke day”.

Emma Simmons comments: “Wow, what an amazing day at the Wella Studios in London, with PROJECT: X.  Loved the creative cutting with Jamie, he really explained head mapping really well and I feel I’ve got a really good understanding of how we can plan weight distribution better when planning a cut, and the afternoon session with Debbie Gee was fantastic, it really boosted my confidence in presenting.”

Reina Boddy adds: "Mondays session was great. Jamie’s demos were really informative & I’ll deffo be trying his cutting techniques! Debbie G is fab & really knows her stuff. I feel a lot more confident about presenting on stage & we all felt really proud we gave it a good go infront of each other, ready for salon international in October!!"
