Tribute to Sean Nolan
The Fellowship is deeply saddened to hear of the recent and sudden passing of Sean Nolan, Head of Technical for HOB Salons and Academy.
Sean was enjoying working on the HOB Academy show for the Trend Vision Awards tour in Scotland when he was taken ill and rushed to hospital. It was discovered that he had a cyst on his brain, which quickly led to a fatal brain haemorrhage. His family were with him when he passed away. Sean was 37.
As well as being an acclaimed colourist in his own right, Sean was also actively involved in the Fellowship, presenting on stage and sharing his insight and technical skills with emerging colour talent. He was an inspiring presence at the Fellowship’s Colour Night, and generously encouraged future hairdressing stars in a ClubStar event hosted at HOB Academy.
In a statement released by HOB, Akin, Clive and Paul stated:
“Sean was a colour legend in his own right; a born creative, a dynamic performer, and a passionate advocate of education. He will be deeply and unequivocally missed by the whole HOB family and everyone that knew or worked with him.
“We honour Sean for his dedication, his hard work and his unwavering passion for
hairdressing, and we hope that all our industry friends and colleagues will join us in
remembering Sean as the true character that he was; vibrant, funny, flamboyant, and
unforgettable in every way.”
