Ann Herman, Patron of the Fellowship for British Hairdressing

Ann Herman was renowned as the toughest critic of artists performing on stage having spent decades running and producing high quality Live Events on behalf of the Fellowship. Ann had no problem in letting the biggest hairdressing stars of the day know where they could improve their stage presence and overall performance.

The ANN HERMAN Scholarship is all about how to master stage work, in order for you to become confident whilst working on stage in front of an audience of 5 or 500.

You will learn key presenting skills and techniques to connect with the audience and to engage them with your stage presence and personality. This Scholarship is aimed at individuals who are looking to elevate their live performance skills to the next level.

The 2026 winner of the Ann Herman Scholarship is Jordan Heyes.

When reflecting on his win, Jordan said: “Winning the Ann Herman Scholarship is an unbelievable achievement. It still hasn’t sunk in. I can’t wait to take part in my mentor days and see what this chapter of my Fellowship story has in store! .

The winner will be working alongside some of the very best in the industry:

• Hosting one of the Fellowship stage slots at HairCon, Manchester, including a Live Lounge interview.
• Join us behind the scenes at the F.A.M.E. Team Semi-Finals and Finals, including co-hosting.
• Projects Finale: behind the scenes and introducing/hosting our projects.
• Opportunities at our Creative Xchange and Hair & Vision events throughout the Year to co-host and present guest artists.

Plus a Ticket to the Fellowship's Luncheon & Awards on 7 December 2026
