What is your role in the Fellowship?
This year I have been tasked with the amazing honour of leading the ClubStar Art Team and am involved with the newly formed Creative Committee. Education and bringing young stylists forward has been a highlight of my career. To work closely with the next generation of future stars is extremely exciting. What I want to bring to the table is the opportunity for my team to work closely with some of the industry icons that have hugely influenced myself and my career.
What is your industry background?
“I began my career in Finland, trained by world champion hairdresser Riitta Urjansson who kick started my passion for perfection and creativity. After moving to England I worked at Toni&Guy as Assistant manager, Art Director and Educator responsible for training T&G staff. As Art Director I got to work closely with Anthony Mascolo, Gary France, and the rest of the T&G art team on photo shoots, shows and competitions. These people and experiences helped broaden my skills and knowledge and fuel my passion for creative hair, photographic and competition work.
I’ve had huge influence from my early days with the T&G family a connection that is still strong with my role as an educator and Ambassador for the Label.m brand. As well as being a salon owner I do regular stage, photographic, editorial and session work which has taken me all over the word working in London, Paris Milan and New York fashion weeks. Most recently I have been invited to be an artist for the Matrix brand which I’m extremely excited about.
What does being part of the fellowship mean to me?
The Fellowship has been an amazing platform for me. They have given me so much support & opportunities to showcase my work onstage and work alongside people I look up to. I’m extremely proud to be part of such a prestigious, inclusive organisation.
Tell us something people might not know about you?
