The competition is open to any stylist or assistant, of any age and any level, anywhere in the UK. The winner will have a real passion for education, along with a genuine desire to learn and improve on their skills. The selected individual will receive a bespoke education package worth in the region of £2,500, valid for one year (including expenses), a mentor meeting and ongoing support to help plan and activate their education year.
Industry legend Debbie G who will act as mentor to the winner says:
“This is such an exciting initiative. Christofer was a huge supporter of grass-roots hairdressing and believed wholeheartedly in the concept of education for all. This scholarship sums up Christofer’s ethos and sits right at the heart of what both the NHF/NBF and the Fellowship regard as fundamentally important.”
Given the extenuating circumstances relating to Coronavirus, Anita’s course will run over as necessary so she can get the full benefit of 12 months of education – and will be starting slightly later than usual. However Anita and Debbie have already had their first meeting via Skype. “We had a great chat,” says Debbie. “Anita is really excited about the year ahead and I’m looking forward to mentoring her and helping her choose some amazing education. Her first day will be spent with me at Billi Currie in London – hopefully as soon as possible!”
