CLUBSTAR ART TEAM SPEND THEIR DAY WITH SIMON TUCKWELL FORMER CLUBSTAR ART TEAM LEADER

The team travelled to the award-winning salon of Tuckwell & Co in Nottingham to spend their day with the salon’s Director, Simon Tuckwell, ex F.A.M.E. Team member and former ClubStar Art Team Project Leader aka ‘The Heavy Metal Hairdresser’.

Simon worked on a live model showing his award winning wolf hair cut & how to vary the look together with capturing images for social media,  & presentation skills

Simon commented: "The Fellowship is the reason I do what I do today. I’m forever grateful for the opportunities and life long friendships I made through the fellowship, so any chance to share my passion for this incredible industry means the world to me. Being a mentor to these incredibly talented hairdressers is something I really hold close to my heart."

Molly Rayner comments: “Our day started with Simon going through the origins of the wolf cut and sharing how different the results can be from it. This was so interesting as we got to understand how we could adapt the haircut to make it a much more softer look that clients could be more inclined to have but we could also see how you could make the look really textured. Not only did Simon cover this haircut but he also showed us how to get great photos and videos of the haircuts as well. Overall, it was a really fun day that I now have a good understanding of the wolf cut and how I can easily recreate different versions of it for my clients.”

Becky Hare comments: “Our team day was a great start for the ClubStar Art Team.  We spent the day learning and practicing wolf and alt cuts Simon created.  A super relaxed environment which encouraged us to try out the new techniques we had learnt without worrying about anything. All of us for sure will be able to take the skills we learnt into the salon and apply them on models and clients.”

Jessica Dennis added: “We not only learnt an in-depth detailed technique on how to go to about doing a wolf cut but also how to edit it and connect it into our daily work within salon. Simon covered not only cutting but consultation, confidence, social media and presentation skills. It was an amazing first day on the team.”
