Bio

I have been in the hairdressing industry since 1985. During my time in the industry I have worked solidly on the Salon floor, building a varied client base having ever worked in three salons prior to opening my first one in 2002. I now run three salons with my wife, Jenny.

Since opening our first salon we joined the Fellowship in 2003 and have done numerous stage shows, I became a Wella educator teach all aspects of cutting and styling. I have done session work including London Fashion Week and editorial looks for magazines.

Photography has been a passion of mine since the age of around 14! now, I shoot many images and collections for hairdressers all over the UK including shooting some of Wella's marketing material. My images have graced the pages and covers of many industry magazines.

I still work on the shop floor three days a week, which, I believe, helps to keep me relevant. I currently have many photoshoots booked for this year as well as education dates. We are going to opening another brand new salon in the spring this we are extremely excited about.

Awards

I’ve have been finalists for BHA several times. We have won the Fellowship Salon Group Award 2016. GHD innovation Award (I won a car for this!) Best local Salon - the Hair Awards.

Mentoring subjects

I am a salon owner, Hairdresser and photographer. I not only shoot collections for hairdressers and salons in the industry but can teach and mentor people in how to put their shoot together with loads of hints and tips. My Photo Hair Workshop with the Fellowship has always proved popular.

I am a guest artist/educator for Wella and I have demonstrated and taught in the UK and Europe, I teach Hair Cutting - classic and Advanced and I teach dressing techniques from classic blowdrying to waving, braiding and editorial hair.
