LUKE ELLIS

I started my journey cutting hair back in 2008 for Headmasters as an apprentice working my way up to a director and managing a salon in Soho for them. I also won numerous of awards for colour and cutting at headmasters.

I also became a salon educator which I did for many years teaching at the Headmasters Academy, which is where I found my passion for teaching.

After specialising in cutting gents hair, I had an opportunity to move across to Ruffians barbers in Mayfair where I started to hone my skills. I moved up to Edinburgh with Ruffians where I learnt a lot about the client experience where barbering meets hairdressing.

I decided to take a leap into the world of being a salon owner with my wife in 2015. We started with just myself cutting hair in a small shop on the Grassmarket in Edinburgh and in 2022 we moved into a bigger store and have six barbers working for us now.
