THE FELLOWSHIP ANNOUNCES ITS 2024 PROJECT TEAMS
Kickstarting the Fellowship year with a bang, the organisations Project teams came together for a day of creative collaboration, networking and excitement as their 12 month journey began.
Held at Loft Studios, this year’s newly announced project teams came together for the first time in history, to meet their fellow team mates, collaborate with their new found Project Leaders and Project supports and find out what lies ahead for them in as part of their journey with the Fellowship.
Welcoming the teams was President Robert Eaton and CEO of the Fellowship, Barry Stephens who thanked all the teams for joining them and gave a detailed overview into the Fellowship, it’s history and the opportunities that are now available. The duo gave an insight into the day ahead, explaining it was a chance for informal collaboration and to get excited for what lies ahead.
As part of the days running order, Rob introduced Vice President Ashleigh Hodges alongside his fellow Executive Board members and wider Head Office Team. Rob then invited previous Project Team Members to the stage to share with the audience their experiences as part of a team and how this has allowed them to evolve within their careers. Cameron Willets (previous Clubstar Art Team, Project X and Project Sassoon), Olivia Rose Brady (previous Clubstar Art Team), Stephen Campbell (previous Project Colour), Annie Franklin (previous project X) and Sophie Rose Goldsworthy (previous Project X) all were part of the interview section with all detailing the positive impact and exceptional relationships they have built whilst being involved.
Next up was a creative photographic discussion with leading photographer Mauro Carraro. Mauro explained to the teams the importance of a great picture, using the correct settings and lighting in order to capture the real life visualisation. This was a poignant discussion with social media playing such a huge part in the day to day lives of everyone within the industry and teams.
Before a working lunch break, Global Artistic Director for WAHL UK, Simon Shaw took to the stage to hype up the teams and his own personal journey throughout the Fellowship, which was a pinnacle point for his career.
Next up was a time for the teams to come together with their team leaders and find out more about their year ahead. Each team broke off and met their new team mates and shared a little about themselves and their hopes and goals for the year ahead. With many bringing along mood boards, presentations and creative scrapbooks it was a joy to see the inspiration and passion in each individual.
Following the creative team session, Fellowship Hairdresser of the Year Tracey Ann Smith joined Vice President Ashleigh Hodges, for an interview on her success and how she has developed a career over the decades and across multiple continents. Tracey told the teams, “Simply being yourself and having belief in your own skill is all you need to succeed. The industry will appreciate you being yourself and your passion over anything.”
After closing remarks from President Rob and the team, the teams left the day full of energy, inspired and ready for their first team days.
