DEBUT STAGE TIME FOR CLUBSTAR ART TEAM AT HAIR UK

The ClubStar Art Team made their stage debut at HAIR UK, Coventry Arena.  Michelle Griffin, Fellowship’s new Vice Chair & past ClubStar Art Team member Darcey Clarke, presented the team on stage.

Influenced by the culture of Coventry, the team created concepts around Lady Godiva & the city’s Cathedral.  Using wigs and jewellery to represent the concepts, as well as the shape of a horse.

Abby Quinn comments: “Our concept was Coventry. I decided to base my look on Lady Godiva.  She wanted taxes not to be increased for the town people, so she spoke to her husband who told her that he would only not increase the tax, if she went through town on a horse naked, so that is what she did for her town people.  My look I wanted to include the horse head made out hair into tail of horse. It was great day to spend with all ClubStar Art team, such a  lovely atmosphere, and also had amazing help from Fellowship.”

Vicky Hughes: “I am so glad I am a part of the ClubStar Art Team, it’s such a great opportunity.  The show was amazing and working alongside an incredible team is inspiring. As it was my first show, I was quite nervous as I didn’t know what to expect but I am definitely ready for the next show. For the show I coloured a synthetic wig by using spray paint to give the effect of stained glass windows. I also created a stencil to spray on the hair. This was to represent the 3 Cathedrals in the Coventry.

James Farrer added: “The Coventry Hair Show experience was amazing! A real eye opener showing me that demonstrating my style on stage is something that I could see myself doing in the future!”
