PROJECT SASSOON SPEND THEIR FIRST TEAM DAY WITH MENTORS KITTY LATHAM & PINK GRUBB

Hosted at the House of Sassoon in London, the team spent their first day with project leaders & the Sassoon London Academy Team, Kitty Latham, Assistant Creative Director & Pink Grubb, Colour Director.

Marcos Garcia comments: “Our first team day was great we have such an eclectic mix of people and are a melting pot of ideas already. Pink and Kitty delivered stunning looks from three demos, where we learnt how disconnections can influence texture and break up a solid looking shape as well as the importance of colour to add dimension to heighten the overall look.”

Ellie Rider comments: “Our team day was an amazing new experience into to learning. We got to see how Kitty does disconnection to create texture, and how layers can create a thickness look to thinner hair type. Pink showed us some new exciting techniques. As a person who never really does colour, it’s definitely inspired me to want to learn more!  The way he does random colour placement was exciting to see. And it was amazing to see everyone again, can’t wait for next month’s team day.”

Callum Bates-Siney added: “What a fantastic first team day.  Getting together again is such a pleasure with these guys. Pink and Kitty really got our creative juices going. Seeing Kitty do two haircuts short and long gave us an idea of what you can do creatively in two different length and hair types. Seeing Pink create two colour types by using techniques I haven’t seen before was really exciting to see. Hopefully we can use these techniques when doing our photoshoot together. Already cannot wait for the next time!”
