CLUBSTAR ART TEAM SPEND THE DAY WITH EXTENSIONIST EMMA HOLT

The team travelled to the studio of Karoliina Saunders to spend the day with hair extensionist specialist Emma Holt and 2023 Project Extend team member.

The morning Emma spent teaching the team all about hair extensions, scalp pigmentation v light extensions.  In the afternoon it was hand’s on for the team.

Lauren Madin comments: “What an incredible day! We started the day, with demonstrations of extension techniques in which we all got to try! Learning the correct removal methods. In the afternoon we went on to create hair sheets, a quick demonstration then followed a full hands-on afternoon of fun! Great day! Thanks Emma!”

Jessica Dennis comments: "We had such an amazing day. We were able to be hands on trying every different technique of hair extensions Emma showed us and even had a go at tattooing! In the afternoon we were shown how to create hair sheets which are a staple technique in avant garde. We learnt so much on our day with  Emma."

Harriet Bull added: "We learnt so much with Emma, trying different hair extension techniques out, and even had a go at tattooing to create the illusion of hair. We also got to create different hair pieces and sculptures out of hair sheets which was really fun and pushed us creatively! Overall it was an amazing day and really fun to try out some things we’ve never done before!"
