PROJECT X SPEND THE DAY WITH DARCIE HARVEY SESSION HAIRSTYLIST

The team spent the day at Wella World Studio in London with Darcie Harvey, Session Hairstylist & The ‘IT List’ Editorial Stylist 2023.

Darcie started the day with an overview of her career, how it all started, overcoming challenges and where she is now.  The team were asked to bring a model to work on braiding & pony tailing all in one look.

Chris Grimley comments: “Darcy was so relatable and honest about her journey into the session world and how she stays in favour. I loved the fact that she lives in the North but is still achieving great things! It’s great to pair things back and just play to see what you can achieve fab day loved it.”

Chelsey Stone comments: “Reflecting on my mentor day with Darcie Harvey was enlightening. Learning about the significance of prepping hair and the meticulous detailing in neat sections while braiding was invaluable. Darcie's expertise truly emphasized the artistry and precision required in hairstyling.”

Phoebe Friend comments: “I had so much fun learning from Darcie during our latest Project X day! It was really inspiring to hear her journey and to watch her create a beautifully detailed editorial look. She encouraged us to think outside of the box when it came to creating something on our own models. I felt lucky to get the chance to try something new while receiving 1 on 1 help/advice from Darcie and will be able to put the skills I’ve learned into practice in any future session work!”

Jamie Leigh Bailey comments: “Spending the day With Darcie was incredibly inspiring. Watching her create such detailed braiding work was very cool to see and I’ll be attempting it for sure. I also learnt to rick rack with elastic, both I’ve never seen done before. Thank you Darcie for spending the day with us!”

Allie Harknett added: "Our session with Darcie was incredible. She talked us through her career and gave us advice on how to get more involved in the session world. She took the time to help us all individually on our final looks and guided us through the process, helping us to look at hair with a more editorial eye. I loved learning the new techniques and can’t wait to put them into more practice."
