DOVE PALMER SPENDS THE DAY WITH CLUBSTAR ART TEAM ON PRECISION CUTTING

Dove Palmer is a true Global leading light in the modern Salon industry. He has gained years of experience working with the very best throughout the World with an unmatched reputation for his understanding to the dynamics of haircutting. This led to the release of his education concept: “The MethoD”.

This blends together the discipline of precision cutting with natural ergonomic form. Doves’ concept focuses on finding our individual strengths and weaknesses and offering guidance in the right direction to unlock our full potential.

Dove comments: “This concept does not want to change the way you work with hair, but to give you the understanding to develop yourself when we are not with you”.

From Wella World Studio in London, the team spent the day going through the concepts with Dove, assisted by last year’s ClubStar Art Team Member, Sam Arnold.

Abby Quinn comments: “We learnt all about cutting hair and how different angles can create different shapes, as well as body positions and finger positions to create the best shape for your client’s hair.”

James Farrer comments: “We started off the day with the introduction to Dove and his theory and terminology or cutting hair then we went through everything from holding scissors in different ways to how we should position our bodies when cutting for maximum comfort. In the afternoon, we had a step-by-step demonstration whilst we cut alongside Dove covering his perfected ways of precision cutting.”

Joshua Easter added:  "Joshua Easter added: “We had the amazing opportunity to work with Dove Palmer in the Wella academy! He took us back to basics and gave an in-depth session on holding and sectioning hair to work methodically and so our body positions would help us with our work. Later we did a hair cut, using position cutting techniques and all the skills we learnt earlier.”
