Fellowship Scholarship winner embarks on her first week

Fellowship Scholarship winner Georgina Cadwallader from KJM Salons in Fleet recently embarked on her first week at the Sassoon Academy in London. First up; the ABC Cutting course…

The ABC Cutting course is five days of intense education, covering the three key elements of Sassoon’s cutting philosophy; lines, graduation and layering. Georgina spent her week at the Academy with some top educators, enjoying a mix of technique demonstrations, theory around face shapes and bone structure and practical hair work, getting to grips with a new way of hairdressing. She was even trained in the best way to conduct a consultation.
“I have never done anything like this before,” says Georgina, “It was fantastic to learn a different way of doing things, especially learning to wrap dry! I have already tried this out since being back at the salon.”

Learning in a group of 15 and often being split into two groups, Georgina was given the one-to-one guidance needed to get the most out of the education sessions.

“I learnt so much,” says Georgina, “it’s so refreshing to get a different insight into hairdressing and learning basic things that I can immediately go and put into practice on my own clients. I already can’t wait for my second week of training at the Sassoon Academy!”

Georgina will be returning to the Sassoon Academy on September 25th for the ABC Men’s course.
